Westside is comprised of a very strong family of Volunteers. We cherish all our Volunteers and are always in need of new ones. We love people to come volunteer to walk our dogs, it means so much to them. Even though our team takes them out for a short walk and playgroup, it isn’t the same thing as having that one on one attention and showering them with some love! We also do group hikes once a month, so we would love more Volunteers if you would like to hike with us. We always need puppy fosters and fosters for any dog who isn’t doing well in the kennel.
Our goal is simple: to save as many German Shepherd dogs as we can. We give them medical care, lots of good food, exercise and love while they wait for their forever families. Your help allows us to continue to do this every day.
If you are interested in becoming a Westside German Shepherd Rescue Volunteer, please submit our Volunteer Application Form. We will respond as promptly as possible with a short questionnaire. Upon its completion, you will be notified of the dates of Volunteer Orientations, which are held at the Westside facility in downtown Los Angeles. It is during the orientation where you will learn about the rescue, take a quick tour of the facility and be taught basic dog-handling skills.
